Achilles Radial Brings the Heat to the 2017 SEMA ShowThursday, November 9, 2017
Achilles Radial made their sixth appearance at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and more. The 2017 SEMA Show drew more than 70,000 domestic and international buyers.
Achilles Radial’s 1200 square foot display in the Global Tire Expo featured the 1,000 horsepower Formula DRIFT BMW M3 of 2013 Champion, Michael Essa. Essa would pilot the car at the SEMA Ignited event on Friday night, where thousands of fans got the chance to see the Achilles 123S put on a smoke show. Team Achilles drivers Robbie Nishida, Dean Kearney, Kristaps Bluss and Yost Autosport all had their racecars on display in various booths around the show.
“The SEMA Show is vitally important to the growth of Achilles because it gives us a chance to introduce our new product offerings, as well as meet with our customers from around the globe to discuss our 2018 sales and marketing plans,” said Cheralyn Hale, Director of Marketing. “It also gives us a platform to highlight all of the exciting programs and products that we have launched over the last 12 months, providing us with amazing exposure in both the US and international markets.”
Current and potential customers got the chance to see the new Desert Hawk A/T2 all-terrain light truck tire, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Achilles displayed over twenty-five tires, highlighting offerings in the passenger vehicle, light truck, off-road and motorsports segments.
Achilles Radial made an important announcement during the show. At a press conference held on Wednesday, November 1st, Formula DRIFT announced that it has entered an exclusive relationship with two tire manufacturers, Achilles Radial and Nexen Tire, who will serve as the Official Tire Suppliers of the Formula DRIFT PRO2 Championship. The partnership will help with team cost containment, company inventory management and competition parity. These steps will help continue to serve the development of the next generation of PRO drivers.
